Bhamla Foundation preserve forests, protects the climate and upholds human rights by challenging corporate power and systemic injustice through frontline partnerships and strategic campaigns.

The Bhamla Foundation started with a clear mission: tree plantations. In our early days, we were eager to make a difference, often organizing sapling planting activities to help improve our environment.

As we learned more about environmental sustainability, especially regarding trees and soil, we understood the importance of planting the right trees. We focused on those that can reduce air pollution and improve the city’s air quality while also attracting biodiversity, like butterflies, insects, and squirrels.

Knowing that planting trees alone wasn’t enough, we began creating urban forests in the city. With limited green spaces, we adopted the Japanese Miyawaki technique to develop small, dense forests.
