The #BhoomiNamaskar campaign, launched in May 2024 by the Bhamla Foundation in collaboration with Godrej Industries Group, is a multifaceted initiative aimed at combating land degradation and promoting environmental sustainability. Timed to coincide with World Environment Day, the campaign aligns with the United Nations’ “Generation Restoration” theme, emphasizing the urgent need for ecosystem restoration.

Major highlights over the years

• Tree Plantation Drive
  Initiated at Jamnabai Narsee International School, this effort aims to plant 10,000 trees across Mumbai schools over six months, fostering environmental awareness among students and the community.
• Green Ride Cyclothon
  This auspicious campaign is held every year on June 5th , this event encourages citizens to pledge support for sustainable practices and highlights the importance of collective action in environmental conservation.
• Star-Studded Anthem
  A collaborative musical piece featuring artists like Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan, and others was released to inspire action and spread the campaign’s message through the power of music

The campaign garnered support from notable personalities, including Bhumi Pednekar, Jackie Shroff, and Esha Deol, and was backed by organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
